I posted this originally on the “official” blog for this project: Puppet A Week.  I was going to make a Len Peralta puppet to go with my JoCo puppet to do an announcement video, but instead I’m going to do the Len as the first week’s puppet (starting in TWO DAYS!).

In the tradition of Len Peralta and Jonathan Coulton I’m kicking off a year long project of weekly insanity. Len did a Geek A Week, Jonathan did a song a week, I’m doing a Puppet A Week. It will start on January 1st 2012, and there is really only one thing I have to do to meet my goal: Make one new puppet each week. Now my intention is to blog the process, with pictures and video, and hopefully end each week with a video showing the process and a bit of the new character. Most of these puppets are going to end up being in the Muppet variety, but I’m also planning on branching out into some rod puppets, bunraku, and marionettes.
